October 15, 2019, is our Annual Business Networking Day. Signups are closed. If you are one of the more than 100 Rotarians who signed up, you should have received a message from your Rotarian liaison. If not, please contact Chair Bob Everitt at (402) 430-3803. Enjoy Business Networking Day!
The first Rotary Networking event happened when attorney Paul P. Harris called together a meeting of three business acquaintances in downtown Chicago, United States, at Harris's friend Gustave Loehr's office in the Unity Building on Dearborn Street on February 23, 1905. In addition to Harris and Loehr (a mining engineer and freemason), Silvester Schiele (a coal merchant), and Hiram E. Shorey (a tailor) were the other two who attended this first meeting. The members chose the name Rotary because initially they rotated subsequent weekly club meetings to each other's offices, although within a year, the Chicago club became so large it became necessary to adopt the now-common practice of a regular meeting place.

We know it's not even October yet, but we could help the kids at Everett Elementary celebrate when the time comes. We could use donations of candy and school supplies to fill their goodie bags. Grab some candy or supplies and bring them to our next meeting. Some supply suggestions include Elmer's glue, scotch tape, packets of pencils, small packets of crayons, pads of paper. Contact IPP Randy Bretz for your donations.
