Rookies of the Year
Rookies of the Year

Congratulations to Bill Michener and Christie Weston the 2020 Rookies of the Year.  Rookie of the Year award is the highest honor bestowed to a new member of Rotary 14.

Bill Michener, Rookie of the Year

Bill Michener, 2020 Rookie of the Year

Bill chaired Rotary 14’s new initiative of forming an Interact club at Southeast High School.  He assumed the responsibility for “selling” the idea to the school administration this year, as well as investing the countless hours required to successfully charter this new Interact service club.  In addition, Bill attended the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI)--a major time commitment, and was confirmed to attend the second session in March.

Bill is Executive Director at LightHouse. He has been a Rotarian for two years and maintained perfect attendance both years.

Christie Weston, 2020 Rookie of the Year

And, she assumed the task of manually recording weekly attendance at virtual meetings in ClubRunner.  Finally, Christie is an active member of the Cashier committee.

Christie is Deputy Director at Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA). She has been a Rotarian for two years and maintained perfect attendance both years.
