The Nebraska Department of Education certifies our teachers, they review the curriculum taught in our schools and they help us plan for the future of educating our children. Our program on March 19 will feature Dr. Matt Blomstedt, Commissioner of Education for Nebraska. He’ll update us on Nebraska’s schools, future plans being made and the challenges that his Department and the State Board of Education face. Rotary 14 member Patsy Koch Johns is a member of the State Board. Invite friends and colleagues to join us for this informative program. Dr. Blomstedt has served as Nebraska Commissioner of Education since 2014, he’s been involved in research for the Unicameral for many years, and he was on the TEDxLincoln stage in 2017.
