Artistic Director, The Lied Center for Performing Arts
Just what’s involved in selecting artists, musicals, and orchestras for the Lied stage? We’ll find out during our meeting on November 6 when we hear from Dr. Ann Chang, Artistic Director for The Lied Center for Performing Arts. Now in its 29th season, The Lied is considered one of the finest venues for the type of performances normally seen in major metropolitan centers such as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles. The mission of The Lied is to educate, inspire and entertain the people of Nebraska through the performing arts. Chang’s been in Lincoln since 1995 and part of the Lied since 2009. She’s an internationally known lecturer and concert pianist who regularly gives presentations to audiences including TEDxLincolnWomen. Among her accomplishments since coming to Lincoln is the founding of The Meadowlark Music Festival.
