Rotaract Wheelchair Project
The dream of Konan Blaise Koko is for the UNL Rotaract club to raise $18,000 to purchase 120 wheelchairs to deliver to survivors of Polio in the Ivory Coast - his home country. The need is great as 10,000 people with disabilities there can not afford a wheelchair. Through several fundraisers over 3 years and the generous support of Rotarians and Rotary clubs across Nebraska, Rotaract has raised nearly $15,000 towards their goal. The Canadian Wheelchair Foundation wants to order the Wheelchairs for delivery, this year, in 2020 - hopefully this summer. They have agreed to match our contributions this year. Now, today, we need your help. Please write your check by Feb 17th to the Lincoln Rotary 14 Foundation with a notation to "The Wheelchair Project or donate online. Questions, please contact Rotaract Advisor Keith Larsen.
Ingrid Gessert is Rotary Student Leaderhip Awardee from LSW

He shared in vivid terms the true meaning of Rotary's motto of Service Above Self. Congratulations, Ingrid!
