Presentation:  Public Art Projects – Facts and Fiction
Beginning in 2000, with the Tour de Lincoln (Bikes), Liz Shea-McCoy has continued to be invited to orchestrate, from beginning to end, the multitude of details related to Public Art Projects for communities, schools and organizations in Nebraska. Liz’s focus will be on addressing why Lincoln and its visitors continue to love these Projects.  She will also clarify various concerns and questions raised from individuals about current and past Public Art Projects.

Speaker Bio: Liz is an advocate for artists of all ages and believes in celebrating the Arts in Nebraska and beyond with consistent excellence in the areas of art exhibition, collaboration, creation, teaching humanitarian efforts and leadership.

As an Artist-in-Residence, Liz continues her 3 decades of work with the Nebraska Arts Council. She is also affiliated with the Nebraska Rural Teaching Artist Initiative.  Both require traveling throughout the state, collaborating with teachers, schools and organizations who want to challenge their students to express themselves artistically.  Her goal when working with students is to build their self- confidence in the arts and in their own creativity. Welcome Newest Rotarian Jeff Dostal
Last week, Immediate Past President Randy Bretz introduced our newest member Jeff Dostal as our newest Rotarian.

Jeff is a native of Norfolk NE and a 1986 graduate of WSC. After 4 years of working in the juvenile probation field in Southern California,  Jeff returned to Nebraska in 1991 making Lincoln his home. In 2016, Jeff was asked to head up the radio sales team at Z92. After commuting from Lincoln to Omaha for 3 years, Jeff chose to continue his career back in Lincoln and is currently the Director of Market Growth for Leadership Resources.

In 2019, Jeff celebrated 25 years of marriage to his bride Kim. Together they have four wonderful children. Two girls and two boys.
