Join us on May 28 when we hear from four fellow Rotary 14 members about the work that they do in Lincoln. One of them runs a book store, one runs a company that can slice through an inch-thick piece of metal, another helps attract people to Lincoln to fill open jobs and our fourth member is involved in commercial real estate. You’ll enjoy hearing from these folks and learning about their jobs.
Dr. Klaus Hartmann donated $100,000 for Rotary Youth Exchange
Last week, Past President Roger Ludemann introduced Dr. Klaus Hartmann who delivered the best speech in support of the Rotary Youth Exchange, the reason he donated $100,000.00. You can view the raw and unedited video of Klaus' speech at Rotary last week by clicking HERE.

Last Week at Rotary
Last week at Rotary, President Randy Bretz presided the meeting, while Christina Usher conducted club business. Klaus Hartmann delivered his best speech in support of the Rotary Youth Exchange. Mike Wortman reminded everyone that nomination for Rotarian of the Year is still open. Our speaker DHHS Kahrs gave us update on the Opioid crisis and that Nebraska is doing very well compared to other states. Jeff Kahrs presentation was in the news and you can read it here.

Search for Rotarian of the Year is On!

The search is on for the most coveted award of the year at Rotary, the Rotarian of the Year Award. Please consider nominating a fellow Rotarian that you believe exemplifies what it means to be a Rotarian for this prestigious award. The nomination form with more details can be found here or contact Committee Chair Mike Wortman.

The Rotary Foundation YTD Donors
Thank you to the following Rotarians who already contributed to The Rotary Foundation (TRF) of Rotary International. If you have not already given, please consider making your annual donation by sending a check payable to The Rotary Foundation, 14280 Collections Center Drive, Chicago, IL 60693, USA or give your check to Yolanda. You may also conveniently contribute online at Rotary.org/give.
