Presiding Officer: Randy Bretz
Secretary: Christina Usher

Cashiers: Suzanne Sughroue & Keith Larsen
Greeters: Jennifer Brinkman & Chuck Schroeder
Speakers: Nancy Larimer & Mary Reiman

Reading aloud is the single most important activity parents can do to prepare their children for reading and learning. On August 14, we’ll learn about the Read Aloud program in Lincoln and how it’s being implemented at Everett Elementary School. Read Aloud Lincoln is a two-year initiative that includes a passionate group of partners who want to spread the word to parents and caregivers that 15 minutes of reading aloud daily from birth to age 8 can profoundly impact success for all Lincoln’s children, both in school and in life. Read Aloud Lincoln is made possible through a grant received from the Institute of Museums and Library Services, Rotary 14 (for Everett Elementary) and the Lincoln Community Foundation in support of the Prosper Lincoln community agenda.
Welcome Newest Member Christie Weston
Last week, Tim Kenny introduced our newest member, Christie Weston. Christie is Deputy Director at Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA). She grew up hearing all of the good work of Rotary from her Dad, Vic Faesser, who has been a Rotarian for 45 years and three-time President of Pawnee City Rotary Club. Christie's induction to Rotary was witnessed by her husband, Michael Weston, and her parents Vic & Irene Faesser. Please be sure to introduce yourself and welcome Christie when you see her at our Tuesday meeting. Welcome Christie! We hope you will beat your Dad's record of 45 years in Rotary.
