Join us on September 18 when Jill Moline shares the story of how the store, Canopy Street Market, came into being. Moline and her husband Brad (head of Allo Communications) arrived in Lincoln when Allo began to connect all of Lincoln with fiber optics. With a background in the grocery business in western Nebraska and eastern Colorado, Moline has opened a grocery that will offer fresh produce and meat, ready-to-cook-and-eat items, online ordering and delivery. The store will serve people living and working in Lincoln’s downtown and Haymarket. They’ll even offer an hour of free parking in the Lumberworks Garage attached to the market, and 30 minute free parking in front of the store. (Story and photo by Randy Bretz)
Last week, Secretary Christina Usher introduced our newest member Todd Frye. Todd is the new Operations Director of The Hope Venture in Lincoln. While new to the city of Lincoln, Todd is not new to Rotary. He is the immediate past president of the Rotary Club of Marysville Kansas and he has been a Rotarian for seven years. Please be sure to introduce yourself and welcome Todd to the city and to Rotary #14.

There will also be a map of the school along with a note about which classrooms to go to. Volunteers will read to two classrooms per visit. Shari will be ordering all of the books and organizing which classrooms the volunteers will be going to. Rotarians will show up ready to read! The volunteers will spend around 20min in each classroom.
