Right here in Lincoln, each month, there are 200 victims who are forced into human trafficking for sex. Human trafficking is a glossy term for modern-day slavery. It is the fastest growing criminal enterprise and is estimated by the United Nations to become the number one criminal enterprise, surpassing drugs and arms trafficking. Why is it such a big business? Because it makes big money! Rotarians in District 5650 are participating in training to help inform hotel and motel employees how to spot human trafficking. The final hotel/motel training session will be held in Lincoln on Saturday, February 23, 2019. Those who attend will be taught to conduct training sessions with local hotel/motel staff on how to identify and report suspected human trafficking. We encourage you to sign up for this training, CLICK/TAP HERE. Questions, please contact Randy Bretz at rgbretz@gmail.com.
